Thanks to the various configurations, you can create the layout you need. This allows hens to move optimally throughout the barn. A low-profile design enhances the adaptability of VIKE aviaries to existing poultry houses with low ceilings. It also ensures clear visibility, making the entire barn easy to inspect.

VIKE aviaries are equipped with VALEGO nests featuring the efficient RDE system (Rack Drive Expulsion). VALEGO nest systems also offer a robust construction with high-quality plywood panels, making them easy to install and maintain. The self-cleaning nest mats contribute to creating the ideal environment for poultry.

Every aspect of the VALEGO nest system — including the patented RDE system or expulsion system — is designed for minimal maintenance. This leads to lower production costs and reduces the need for personnel to work in demanding conditions.

Plywood construction with film coating
The walls and roofs are made from durable, high-quality plywood. This offers poultry a solid, calm environment that’s easier to clean. The construction is more sustainable than plastic or steel alternatives. Because moisture dissipates quickly, it's an ideal material for use in nest systems.

Smart ‘Click & Fix’ system
Valego nest systems feature smart ‘Click & Fix’ nest walls and roofs, making installation and repairs easy to carry out. Standard tools are sufficient for assembly.

Egg collection and monitoring
Egg belts, expulsion system and control units form a complete egg collection system that safely transports eggs from the hens to the collection table. Using the control unit’s programming, the expulsion system opens and closes daily so that hens have access to their nests for as long as possible. During egg collection, the expulsion mechanism can be partially closed via the control unit, allowing hens to remain on the nest without accidentally damaging the eggs.
