At the de Haan family farm, Beek replaced the corrugated roof sheets of the barn and added 15 cm of extra glass wool insulation on top of the existing insulation. A winter garden was built for broiler chickens, with a valley gutter between the barn and the winter garden. The existing double hinged front door was replaced with a new one.
